What is CBGA?
CBGA is the first cannabinoid to develop in the growing hemp plant, leading the way for other cannabinoids to form. CBGA is an important cannabinoid, not only because it forms other cannabinoids, but because it supports the plants growth, development, and its overall survival. When the hemp plant is mature, much of CBGA has been diminished while working to support the plants growing process. What is CBGA isolate?
CBGA isolates are high purity extractions of CBGA that have been isolated from all other cannabinoids, typically with 95% to 99% purity. Extracting CBGA can be complicated, as when CBGA is heated it converts to CBG. Traditional extraction processes that utilize solvents, such as butane or ethanol, need to use heat in the process for sufficient extraction. This causes a conversion of the majority of acidic cannabinoids to their neutral form before the final extract, leaving trace amounts for consumer use.
